If you are at home recovering from surgery or have a major illness, and your doctor orders skilled in-home nursing care... you can ask for VNA home care!

After an assessment of your needs, a personalized plan of care is developed for you. During each visit, the nurse assesses your condition, provides treatments, and monitors medications. You and your family are informed about the recovery process and ways your family can assist in your care. VNA is there for you.

Central Coast Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, a nonprofit organization, provides a full range of home care, hospice, adult day care and community services to residents of Monterey and San Benito Counties with service throughout the Central Coast region.

A Message from Carol Snow, RN, MSN - President Maggie Kuhn, founder of the Gray Panthers, once said, "People are the only thing in the world that matters". At the Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, it really is only about people; our patients, staff, Boards, physicians and community supporters. For fifty-six years, our "people" have been providing home health and hospice services that offer choice and flexibility to patients and families in our 4,800 square mile service area. As is usually the case with "people", they are complex, come in different sizes and have different needs. Therefore, our organization has become increasingly specialized to take care of our patients' needs. Your VNA and Hospice: has the ability to rely on the expertise of clinical specialties such as pediatric, cardiac, psychiatric, hospice, and rehabilitation services; provides telehomecare to serve our patients in the remote areas of our region; operates three adult day care centers to care for the frail elderly and give respite for caregivers and; provides many community outreach services such as our annual flu clinics and travel immunization clinics. VNA and Hospice also understand variety; variety for patients, as well as variety for staff to move within jobs in the agency and to participate in different phases of clinical practice.
