How do I register my business or school for a flu clinic?

Register your business, school, or group by selecting one of the options below. A VNA representative will contact you within a week of receiving the form.

What is the cost for the flu vaccine?

  • The influenza vaccine is $30 per person (Lower price negotiated for group of 50 or greater)
  • Covered benefit under Medicare Part B, card must be presented at time of vaccination
  • *NEW*  Now accepting Blue Cross or Blue Shield insurance. Card must be presented at time of immunization.

  • If less than 25 shots are given, a $50 clinic fee will apply
  • We accept cash, check (payable to VNA), and corporate purchase orders.

What types of flu vaccines are available?

The VNA offers the following options for the flu vaccine:

  1. Trivalent flu shot
    • Appropriate for ages 3 and up
  2. *FluMist nasal spray
    • Appropriate for people ages 2-49 who are not pregnant and have no chronic medical conditions.
  3. *Quadrivalent flu shot
    • Appropriate for ages 3 and up
  4. High dose flu shot
    • Appropriate for ages 65 and older
  5. Preservative free flu shot
    • Appropriate for pregnant women and those with an allergy to thimerosal.

 

*new this season – contains 4 strains of flu virus instead of the traditional 3 strains of flu virus.

Can I schedule a flu shot for one individual?

Individuals can schedule an appointment for a vaccine at our Ryan Ranch office at 5 Lower Ragsdale Drive, Monterey. Call the VNA Immunization Information line, 831-648-3777.

What other vaccines does VNA provide?

We also provide Pneumonia, Meningitis, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis – whooping cough), HPV, Typhoid, Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis, Polio, Yellow Fever, Shingles, and TB Skin Test

 

Who provides the vaccines?

Visiting Nurse Association Community Services employs only registered nurses who are trained to administer immunizations and to deliver the highest level of care.

 

What days are on-site clinics scheduled?

On-site clinics can be scheduled seven days a week – mornings, afternoons and evenings.

 

What areas does VNACS serve?

  • VNACS operates the largest, most experienced flu program in both Monterey and Santa Cruz County

Who can receive the flu shot?

  • VNACS will administer influenza vaccine to adults and children (two years and older with parental/guardian consent)
  • FluMist is available to individuals ages 2-49 who meet the criteria

 

What if some of my employees or dependants can not attend the scheduled on-site clinic?

The VNA also offers a Voucher Program which allows the organization’s employees and/or dependants greater flexibility to receive the flu vaccine. If you choose to participate in this program you will be issued a template to design individualized vouchers for distribution to employees and/or dependants. Vouchers can be redeemed at VNA Public Flu Clinics or at our office in Ryan Ranch at 5 Lower Ragsdale Drive, Monterey.
