VNA & Hospice Receives Matching Challenge
Harden Foundation to support the VNA palliative care program

A matching challenge grant of $25,000 has been awarded to the nonprofit Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice by the Harden Foundation to support the VNA palliative care program throughout Monterey County.
Harden Foundation will fund up to $25,000 if the community matches donations restricted to palliative care. The end result of $50,000 will underwrite palliative care provided in the home by VNA staff which is not fully funded by Medicare. Palliative care is the additional care a patient dealing with a life threatening disease receives to alleviate pain and manage symptoms. These patients are not ready to receive Hospice ...

The Tdap - Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Whooping cough) vaccine is required for 7th - 12th graders beginning in the Fall of 2011.

Casino Night - 2011

As part of VNA 60th Anniversary celebration, Board, Staff and Volunteers put on a Casino Night Gala on May 21st. While entertainers crooned in the background, VNA supporters sipped champagne while placing their bets at the black jack tables, roulette wheel, craps table, or the Texas hold'm. A feast for the eye as well as the palate was served to guests throughout the evening. Everything from Shrimp to Steak to Lamb to Vegetarian Lasagna was served. Everyone is looking forward to next years event!
