VNA Hospice Volunteer Program

Volunteers are special individuals who give of their time to improve the lives of others. Without our dedicated and trained hospice volunteers, the VNA Hospice would not be able to continue the work that they do. Hospice volunteers come from different backgrounds, vary in age, and are uniquely talented in their skills and interests.

Volunteers can help directly with patients, in administrative/clerical roles, or with events and fundraising for hospice. If you have a special talent, or enjoy gardening, crafts, pet care or decorating, you may have a skill that would be an asset to the VNA Hospice Program.

Our patients and staff are looking for people interested in:

  • making new friends
  • giving time and skills to the local community
  • learning new skills
  • considering a career change

Find out who can volunteer, what opportunities are currently open, and volunteer requirements and training by calling our Volunteer coordinator at (831) 758-8243.

Before you can start volunteering, they will want to:

  • meet you to find out about your interests and skills
  • match your skills and interests with suitable roles
  • offer you an appropriate induction or training
  • arrange a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check if your volunteer role will involve direct contact with patients.

Thank you for considering the Central Coast VNA Hospice Volunteer Program!
